Receiving a message on Instagram about a proposal at Sea to Sky always makes my heart race a little. The excitement I always get from the significant other planning the perfect proposal is overwhelming. I know a bit cheesy. Meeting at a Starbucks to go over the logistics with Daniel and planning the details a few weeks before the actual proposal got me excited for the actual day.
Having done countless proposals at Sea to Sky, this proposal is the first I’ve shot in the month of August. Daniel had gotten Jasmine’s friend to take her up for a “dinner” at Sea to Sky. However, Jasmine had no clue what was actually happening. Arriving early to the lookout platform, Daniel had put a lot of thought. Definitely a huge romantic guy. From rose flower petals to a lit candle pathway, Daniel had thought it all. In addition to all of that Daniel got these gorgeous Symphonie Des Roses.
With the moment fast approaching, and his friends helping him, the time had finally come. With Jasmine and her friend making their way down the trail, the shock and confusion on Jasmine’s face said it all. Not sure what was happening Jasmine walked down to the platform. The background music, this stunning backdrop set the mood. In tears, Jasmine said YES!! Following the proposal, we managed to capture some Sea to Sky engagement photos with one of the best sunsets while shooting here many times.
There’s nothing more rewarding for me, than the beginning of a couple’s new journey. In addition, seeing all of Daniel’s hard work and vision come together is truly special. For those looking wanting to learn more, check out my Sea to Sky Gondola Proposal Guide.
