To be selected by another photographer to capture one of their most important days is truly an honour. Jennifer and Bennj’s All Saints Parish Hall wedding was truly something special. Simple, yet elegant, the tall wooden beams, decor, flower arrangements we’re absolutely perfect and well thought out, which you would expect from Jen a great photographer who has a great eye for details!
Making my way to the house, laughter, smiles, and screams could be heard from a block out. The festivities, and excitement from everyone, made this wedding a fun one to be a part of. Finishing up the final touches in the late afternoon, with Cheryl from Skin District Beauty Lounge, and Jessica from Hello, Lovely, Jen’s friends, family, and kids were their last minute preperations. Over on the living room side, the boys were relaxing before the big day in their fitted tuxes, while the two girls occasionally curiously popped their head into the family room to see the events taking place.
With friends and family slowly leaving the house getting ready for the limo ride, the pace and and mood changed. The family room now quiet, as Jen placed her dress on with the help of her bridesmaids. Lacing up the dress, it looked absolutely stunning. A perfect moment, with the perfect lighting, right before the ceremony with her bridesmaids and mom.
Arriving to All Saints Parish Hall, for the ceremony, the welcome signs, arrangements, were flawless. In addition to the decor, Benji’s new rental, caught the attention of friends and family. Riding in style, Benji arrived in his Tesla X showing off the cool features coming along with it. The ceremony, done by Christian, gave the ceremony a nice touch with his well spoken words.
Following the ceremony, making our way to Como Lake, the unfortunate smoke from the forest fires, gave us some ideal lighting! Like their Gastown engagement photos, I knew we were going to get some really great portraits! You could see how madly in love these two were, from the photos. Throughout the rest of the evening, speeches, toasts and dancing, concluded the day that couldn’t have turned out any better. Jen and Benji have a wonderful family! To be able to capture the day for these two and their kids, is something I’m amazed to do on a regular basis. Congrats to the two of you and wishing you both the happiest of marriage!
