Jenny and Razvan’s Golden Eagle Golf Course wedding ( which is one of my favourite venues) is something you’ll remember for a while! It seems like ages ago when we met at Olympic Village, meeting over coffee, discussing details of their day. It wasn’t even too long ago when we met in Horseshoe Bay for their engagement photos, and hearing about their ideas had me excited. From planning and seeing things come into fruition on the day, with the hand of Divine Decor is truly something special.
The clouds loomed over the golf course, but the smiles from friends and family couldn’t have dampened their day. As Jenny and her bridesmaids got ready, outside in the ceremony space Razvan and his groomsmen were placing the final touches. Over at the reception hall, Jenny’s bridesmaid was placing the tiara on Jenny, the final piece onto what was already a stunning outfit. A quiet moment before the big reveal and first look.
In the reception hall we did a “first look. Jenny and Razvan hid behind a wall while holding hands and exchanging a few words. A pause in what was a fast-paced day thus far. An intimate moment, to take everything in before what was going to be an emotional day. First looks and different variations of first looks are one of my favourite moments! A way to calm your nerves before the rest of the day.
With the BC mountain views, as a backdrop for their ceremony, it couldn’t have looked more perfect. Setting the mood for the ceremony was Razvan’s brother playing the guitar. It was my first time working with Young Hip and Married, led by Shawn. What a treat to have him officiate the wedding with his humour, soft-spoken words, and a personalized touch that perfectly described the couple. Jenny and Razvan also exchanged personalized vows concluding an emotional ceremony.
Following the ceremony, Sky Helicopters took us over to Widgeon Lake. What a way to start off as newlyweds! Although we were unsure if this was going to go through due to the recent forest fires, I’m glad everything worked out. Having this been my first helicopter ride, it was truly a pleasure being able to go along for the ride with Jenny and Razvan. Arriving at Widgeon Lake, we had the area to ourselves. Although the rain had started to come down, heavily Jenny and Razvan were absolute troopers.
Coming back to the reception space, which was beautifully decorated, these two had a surprise for the friends and family in attendance. When these two sent me a video of their first dance, I was in awe. Seeing it in person, was even that much better, with lifts, twirls and some well-choreographed moves. The rest of the evening was filled with videos, presentations, speeches, highlighted by the champagne tower and glow stick exit! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of a memorable wedding! Something I’ll definitely remember for a long time.
