A perfect Vancouver spring wedding for Cynthia and Anthony as they had a traditional Chinese Catholic and elegant Shangri-La Vancouver wedding ( one of my favourite hotel venues). They couldn’t have asked for a better day, even though the day was a little frigid. The early mornings started with a small tea ceremony for Cynthia’s family. Some of her family members visiting from the UK. Anthony was shortly over, after answering a few questions from Cynthia’s sister before he was allowed in to see the bride. In addition to a few questions, Anthony had to do a bit of singing before seeing his bride for the first time. We took a short time to grab some portraits over at Queen Elizabeth Park, with some time too spare!
Following the portraits, and tea ceremony at Anthony’s, it was finally time to tie the knot over at Canadian Marty’s Church. With close family members and friends in attendance, these two exchanged vows with group photos following shortly. With a hungry bride and groom, we made a quick stop to Mcdonalds, before heading to Flight Path Park, for a few more portraits. It was definitely one of the classiest moments of the day, eating Mcdonald’s in our formal attire.
Shangri-La was our next stop for the reception. It was a perfect venue, for the intimate reception. In our initial consultation, Cynthia was very excited about her pink flower wall, as a backdrop for some group photos. With pink being her favourite colour, it matched her tea ceremony dress. The rest of the night was filled with toasts, laughter, and tons of photos with friends and families. If you couldn’t tell how in love these two were, during speeches, it was revealed that Anthony would send a song to Cynthia every day, after they got engaged. Some huge commitment right there! Huge congrats to these two!
