It’s been non-stop raining here the past few weeks in Vancouver. With the sun rising at 8:00 am it’s making it harder to get up. Mix that in with the post-holiday blues and trying to be productive doesn’t help. When Pawan messaged me about his proposal it was something I could get excited for this January day! Although most propose over the holidays, I like how Pawan found a meaningful day and spot. Riverfront Park is meaningful for two reasons. First, it’s where they went on the first date. Secondly, it’s where he said ” I love you” to Gia. And now it’s where he proposed.
The afternoon called for 90% showers. For once I wish the weather forecast wasn’t right. With no one in sight at the pier, it was too easy to notice me. Keeping my distance, and finding the right moment to come out, was a bit tricky. The moment Pawan brought out his gift, which was a voice recording, inside a teddy bear Gia didn’t hesitate with a ” YES!”. Not even the torrential downpour could keep these two smiling the whole time. What a way to start in 2020! Having the ring since November, it was a huge relief for Pawan.
Following their Riverfront park proposal, I found some meaningful spots to grab some photos for these two! Without any hesitation, these two embraced the rain and shared some of their first moments as a newly engaged couple with me. I never take this granted and so thankful to all my couples who let me take part in this. The rest of their day was filled with celebrating with friends and family.
For those looking for a Vancouver proposal photographer, I’d’ love to be considered to capture your special day. Check out my proposal guide here as well to plan your dream proposal!
