Hui and Mike’s Olympic Village engagement photos are up for today! They originally met through a friend while they were in nursing school and are getting married next year at Westwood Plateau! Olympic Village is a spot, I’ve been wanting to shoot for a very long time. It’s essentially a photographers playground, with so many different aspects that make it one of my favourite engagement session locations. I walk around here often, and always envision different shots and now I finally got the chance. On the west side of the Olympic Village is a small island, near Hinge Park, that over looks Science World that’s quite secluded! Hinge Park is such hidden gem in the city, making it extra romantic during the evenings, if you’re ever looking for a place to enjoy some evening scenery. In addition, Olympic Village offers unique architecture, and art pieces that allow for some creativity as a photographer!
Our shoot started at a perfect time, just about 1.5 hours before sunset which is what I usually recommend. To begin, we stayed along the boardwalk before venturing to the other parts and looking for unique things. The lighting couldn’t have been more perfect as we concluded our shoot. Hui also managed to do a quick outfit change for a more formal look as well, towards the end of the shoot for some different looks! Congrats to these two and see you both in 2018!
