One of the most memorable highlights of 2019 was Natalie and Elliot’s San Francisco engagement shoot. It was an exciting time when you could travel without a second thought.
Fast forward to 2020, things were looking a little different. These two’s original plan were derailed with COVID. Regardless of the circumstances, these two flew back to Vancouver for an intiamte wedding at Queen Elizabeth Park with only a handful of familes and friends in attendance. The summer weather and quiet park made for a beautiful setting underneath the infamous bridge. The ceremony was led by Joel who did an excellent job of preparing everything in such a beutiful and personal manner. Grandmas humour in particular was a highlight of the day.
In between the ceremony and portrait session, it’s been a different view point as a photographer. Compared to larger weddings, it’s hard to capture the intimate moments in between with things most often getting rushed. However, with smaller weddings, being able to see the couple interact with everyone in such an intimate manner, has been definitely rewarding. Grandmas humour in particular was a highlight of the day. Looking forward to the celebratory dinner in the summer of 2021!
