Fraser Lands Church: Kimberly & Aaron

Fraser Lands Church: Kimberly & Aaron

Rewind back to the days, when life was simple as a child. It was during those days when Kimberley and Aaron’s relationship first started. It wasn’t the fondest first memory for Kimberly, with Aaron pulling on her hair as a kid.

Both of them grew up at Fraser Lands Church, passing by with minimal interactions throughout the years. It wasn’t until during their university careers in 2011, when Aaron and Kimmy  bonded over bubble tea, ultimate and food! After years had gone by, sweatingly and awkwardly, Aaron told Kimmy about his feelings where their relationship finally started! 6 years later, these two exchanged their vows in front of friends and family.

It was a Vancouver winter wedding to remember! The 12 hours spent together flew by so quickly, especially when you’re surrounded by such an amazing couple, with contagious smiles all day. With an early morning start, Kimberly’s make up and hair process began, with Sarah! Her team always does such an amazing job getting everything done on time. The bridesmaids, wore royal blue dresses, complimenting Kimberly’s blush dress by BHLDN Bridal! With the girls finishing up, the guys were just getting started, looking good themselves with matching bow ties and Indochino suits.

Aaron and the groomsmen finished up and headed over to Kimberley’s house where they did the first look. It was a traditional first look with Aaron waiting at the bottom of the stairs waiting for Kimberly. Following the first look, Kimberly and Aaron wanted to show their appreciation to their parents for showing them what a loving relationship meant, by taking a photo with their parents wedding photos! It was definitely a nice touch to the wedding day.

After the ceremony at Fraser Lands Church, we headed downtown to the Vancouver Convention Centre for portraits where these two braved the winter cold. We managed to catch the last bit of sunshine, overlooking the mountains, which made for an awesome backdrop especially with the snow on the mountains still. Our next stop, after catching the last bit of sunlight, featured some pretty cool architecture, at Telus Gardens for some more group photos. It’s pretty hard to find some indoor locations in Vancouver for wedding photos, but Aaron and Kimmy picked an awesome spot for their wedding portraits!

The remainder of the evening was filled with laughter and tears, with some emotional speeches from friends and family. One of the most memorable speeches, had to be Kimberly’s dad’s  having the whole room in silence with all the memories he shared with Kimberly. Thank you, to Kimberly and Aaron, for having me capture your special day. Huge congrats to Kimberly and Aaron! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for the two of you as you both start your next chapter together.
