Visiting from Calgary, Gen and Steve, came back to Vancouver for some engagement photos. Before making our way to Gen and Steve’s English Bay engagement photos, we chatted briefly about the locations they wanted to visit. You know you’re working with dream couples when they mention Santouka and Japadog, two places where they went on their first few dates. Revisiting sentimental locations is something I always highly recommend to my couples. In addition to their favourite food spots, we went back to where they first met on the corner of West Georgia and Granville right outside of the London Drugs. Matching the Vancouver spring weather, Gen wore a blue floral dress, in which she looked absolutely perfect, while Steve looked sharp keeping it simple. In addition to their stellar choice of style, Gen had her makeup and hair done at Vamp Dry Bar, completing her look.
The Vancouver evening rush hour didn’t stop these two from having a ton of laughter. Being patient and waiting for the right timing, was everything. Needless to say, I think we got some pretty awesome shots! Starting by Vancouver Central Library, we made our way down Robson, stopping at the Vancouver Art Gallery, and Santouka, while also looking for cherry blossoms along the way. Unfortunately, no luck finding cherry blossoms walking down Robson! Making our way down Denman, the sunset over English Bay blanketed the skies with some fantastic lighting!
After a gorgeous sunset at English Bay, we decided to wrap up our shoot and started to head back. Having a bit of luck on our side, we found an awesome area by the residential areas, with cherry blossoms in full bloom making it the perfect place to end our shoot. What a way to conclude our shoot! Congrats to these Gen and Steve on their engagement and wish you two an amazing time in Manila for your wedding!
