It’s that time of year where I get to reflect and remember all the wonderful couples and vendors I’ve encountered. Over the last 5 years, I’ve been blessed to work with couples who have been gracious enough to allow me to be a part of their day. Each year brings new faces, new venues, and different challenges, which allows my passion and creativity to flow. I believe weddings are such unique events. It’s a momentous time, when all your little stories and adventures build up to this one day of celebration with friends and family who have shaped your life. In no particular order let’s rewind to my favourite and best Vancouver wedding photos of 2017!
Bringing photos from their parents wedding was such a neat touch!
There’s something about Vancouver winter weddings that make everything more whimsical and romantic! Kimmy and Arron braved the -4 temperature in January! I love my couples who will endure anything for the right shot. The Vancouver Convention Centre makes for an awesome location for weddings.
It’s the unexpected moments like these, that I always try to capture. Museum of Vancouver Wedding.
One of my favourite ” dresses” belongs to Heather this year with her beautifully designed kimono. This Vancouver wedding portrait was taken at Vanier Park with the wedding reception being held at the Museum of Vancouver.
From start to finish the kimono process took almost 2 hours! If you ask me, it was definitely worth it. Read more about the getting process.
Although 90% of my work is a based off of natural lighting, I like to use some dramatic lighting for effect!

Golden hour is my favourite time of the day to shoot! Matt and Karen snuck off quickly after dinner, to get some GORGEOUS shots. Richmond Country Club wedding.
Matt and Karen’s wedding cake! Details are important!
One of the most incredible venues I’ve had the chance at shooting was at Hycroft Manor. Equally as incredible was Ashley and Nathan! Hycroft Manor Wedding.
I find the father giving away the bride as being one of the most emotional parts of the ceremony!

Cynthia looking stunning for her Shangri-La Vancouver wedding.
I saved one of the most fun weddings for last. It was not your ordinary wedding, with mariachi bands, inflatable T-Rex, and a whole lot of laughter. In fact check out the article, that Stacey wrote that was featured recently in the Vancouver Magazine. She talks about skipping the things that don’t interest you, and bringing in things that make for an awesome time!
One of my favourite mural walls, that matched Stacey and Max’s personality! Check out the featured post by Vancouver Magazine and A Practical Wedding on Stacey and Max’s wedding.
A location that is hidden just outside Downtown Vancouver. Crab Park Wedding photos.
