Maan Farms Wedding: Tia and Dylan
I had the honor of photographing Tia and Dylan’s Mann Farms wedding, which was one of my last weddings of the 2022 season. The snowfall a few days before had created a perfect winter wonderland, and the rustic venue was the perfect setting for their emotional and heartfelt wedding. Almost two years prior, I had captured Tia and Dylan’s proposal, so when they reached out, I had no doubt that I wanted to document this day for them. Dylan… I hope you never forget the date December 3rd. December 3rd is when they went on their first date, proposed, and are now married. How cool is that!
It’s been a learning experience over my last 10 years as a photographer. The greatest lesson I’m continually learning is to let go of expectations and be fully present in the day. Come in with no preconceived thoughts. The greatest stories truly unfold. The best photos are when you observe. It’s then when the memorable, meaningful, and authentic moments show. The photos from this wedding are some of my favourites from this season as you can feel the emotions which what photos should be after all.
Throughout the day, Tia and Dylan’s genuine love for each other and for their friends and family shone through. Despite the cold and windy conditions, the couple was unfazed, and their love for each other was evident in every moment and interaction. Sadly, Dylan’s dad recently passed. I was truly moved by the way they found different ways to honour him. The bond and love they shared showed throughout all aspects of the day.
Tia had put a lot of thought and care into the details of the wedding, and it showed in the reception and ceremony. I mean, check out those M&M’s with their faces on it! The handwritten signage, hints of purple, and table centerpieces added to what was already a beautiful day. Thank you for having me at your wedding. You two are incredible people who are just full of love and joy!
