I’ve been absolutely in love with my weddings this year! It’s been such a blessing to work with such great couples. Ashley and Nathan were one of my latest couples who had a Hycroft Manor wedding. If you remember a couple years back we did an engagement shoot at Cleveland Dam which I couldn’t stop raving about. Check it out here!
The setting took place at the elegant Hycroft Manor which I’ve been dying to shoot at since I first started wedding photography. With the vast amount of different rooms in the manor, the options were endless! Ashley got ready on the top floor where with her two sisters and childhood friend. While she was finishing the last touches, Nathan had a surprise waiting for him as Ashley’s dad prepared him a Rolls Royce for pick up. As Nathan pulled up in the Rolls Royce, it was truly a grand entrance into the historic estate!
Nathan looked damper in his Hugo Boss tuxedo with Ashley putting her dress on by Isabel’s Bridal, in the Farris Room filled with great window lighting! As we were getting shots of the details, every so often you could hear Chantel, Ashley’s younger sister announce another guest walking onto the terrace, where the ceremony was going to take place shortly. Shortly before the ceremony, Nathan was set to go with his pack of tissues in his jacket.
The ceremony was filled with many traditions and aspects from their respective sides of their family. From a singing quartet, to vows and speeches from parents, it was evident how emotional it was for both sides of the family. Every time I glanced over Nathan, he was holding back his tears. Good thing he was already prepared! The last part of the ceremony, was another surprise from Ashley’s dad. He had prepared a box of butterflies to fly out after a speech from Ashley’s uncle! It was definitely a great moment in the ceremony!
Following a family style dinner on the beautiful terrace prepared by the Hycroft team, family members on both sides of the family had presentations. Ashley and Nathan both have very talented family members as the presentations began with another solo from Nathan’s dad, with Ashley’s sister singing an amazing duet!! After a few embarrassing slideshows, the evening finally concluded. It was truly an amazing wedding, with personalized touches. I’ve been so grateful to cross paths with Ashley and Nathan, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two! Once again congrats you two!
