Grouse Mountain Proposal: Shanna and Chris

Celebrating Shanna’s birthday this December morning, little did she know she going to be celebrating more than just her birthday. Both Chris and Shanna were visiting from Hawaii. Needless to say, the snow is something they don’t often see. Having discussions with Chris over the past month, I’ve never heard someone as excited as Chris. Answering all his questions and planning his Grouse Mountain proposal, we were ready for the big day!

Transitioning from the gloomy Vancouver weather to a Winter Wonderland after a short gondola ride up from the parkade, set the perfect scene for the proposal. Christmas lights, tall fir trees covered in snow, negative temperatures, made this day all the more romantic. Getting off the gondola, Shanna and Chris, got a few treats before making their way to an area, away from the large crowds. Coming down the pathway, you could tell these two were big kids at heart. Snowball fights, snow angels, and loving personalities, you knew these two were going to be absolute fun to work with.

Waiting for the right time, the timing was perfect. It was as if everything had paused for a split second. Quietness surrounding the area. Just the two of them. With Chris on one knee, she said YES! With the remaining time, we acted like kids, as it the first time we had seen snow. Snowball fights ensued, with pure joy, laughter and excitement!
