The beauty of Vancouver is that every corner and every street you turn onto contains something extraordinarily different. Within a short distance from the Classical Dr. Sun Yen Chinese Garden where Celia and Alvin started their engagement shoot, we ventured our way to the historic Gastown. I’ve always shy’d away from the hustle and bustle in Gastown especially during the weekends. However, with the gloomy weather hanging over our heads, we luckily had most areas to ourselves! The locations these two choose, made for some great photos, that I’m delighted to share!
I’ve known Alvin previously when I played on his ultimate frisbee team a few years ago during my junior days. It was such a nice surprise when he asked me to capture a few photos for him and Celia! It’s always such a pleasant surprise to hear and catch up with old friends after a brief hiatus. With this being my first time in Gastown for an engagement shoot, Celia and Alvin made it a breeze. Our time management was on point as we got kicked out two of the locations as they were closing just as we started shooting in the gardens and at the Woodward Building. Thank to the security officers for letting us stay a bit longer! Along our shoot, they brought out a few props, which I always love, because of the back stories of each. As we wrapped up our shoot along False Creek, the sun peaked out just in time after some gloomy weather for the most part of our shoot. Our time management was definitely on point!!
After meeting on a blind date three years ago, these two will be getting married next year! Best of luck to the two of you!
