These two recently got engaged at the Vancouver Aquarium after meeting at work. Catharina’s first impression of Oswin, was ” who is this kid?”. Well with one more month to go, these two are getting married! The morning of the proposal, Catharina, accidentally found the ring in his pocket. However, she let him go with the plan and played it cool!
Our Deep Cove engagement photos, took place on the day it was smoggy all around the city. Although everyone was dreading the smog in Vancouver, it was surprisingly great lighting for photos. It felt like it was a permanent golden hour, a photographers dream. For our first location, we walked around the kayak centre before making our way into the trails. It’s such a beautiful spot in Deep Cove, with great backdrops. In addition it also doesn’t hurt that Honey’s Donut shop is there, which is a must visit anytime you visit. I definitely thad one ( maybe two) donuts. Catharina and Oswin, looked great in their outfits for their first location, with a semi formal look, and greek inspired outfit. Although neither of them have done a photo shoot before, it only took them a a matter of minutes before these two were naturals in front of the camera.
For the Vancouver Convention Centre engagement photos, we made it in time for more golden hour photos! They went for a more casual setting which I love! By mixing up their wardrobe, it gave them different looks for their signing album. The Vancouver Convention Centre, offers such unique architecture, and stunning views of the city. It’s been definitely a popular spot this year for my engagement sessions. Each time I come back, I find something new. One of my favourite photos of the session has to be of Catharina jumping into Oswin’s arms! It did take a take few try’s, but it definitely for lots of laughter. Enjoy the photos, and see you both in October!
