This post is long overdue, as we reach mid-February. It’s that time of year, where most photographers take a break from everything photography related to recharge their batteries. These first two months of 2020 have flown by. During these last two months, I’m going through photos from the past year and even all the way back to 2015. Going through each wedding again allows me to learn, and also edit images from a different perspective I might’ve not seen. I’ve curated a few of my favourite wedding photos from 2019 taken mostly in Vancouver. For those looking for a collection of my Vancouver wedding photos, from over the last few years, you can find it here.
One of my favourite group photos from 2019, is for Jessica and Garry’s Stanley Park Pavilion wedding. I wanted to showcase the bridal parties’ fun personality by doing this. After many attempts, we managed to get it!
A few blooper photos while waiting for running and bikers to pass by.Â
First time seeing someone sabering a champagne bottle… successfully!
One most impactful weddings were Amelia and Darcy’s wedding at JW Marriott Parq. Just the pure love and joy these two shared on their wedding day with their friends and family was so touching. #couplegoals.
Vancouver Golf Club Wedding
Amy and Adam’s Vancouver Golf Club wedding was sprinkled with a bit of Korean tradition. Not only did Amy wear a western wedding, but a vibrant and beautiful, Korean wedding dress. A beautiful outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, friends and family were treated to witnessing their love.
The time Nancy and Karen put into the DIY’s for their CedarCreek Estate Winery wedding was phenomenal! From their personalized gifts to their table seating chart, they had a hand in everything. Besides raving about the DIY, the celebration of their love was so emotional throughout the day. Thank you for having me out for my first Okanagan wedding! Such a great experience!
One of the most laid back and fun couples belongs to Rebecca and Nick this year! From the beginning of our consultation, there was no doubt these two were someone I wanted to work with. Their Heritage Hall wedding represented these two so well, which is what your day should be about.
One of my favourite wedding photos this year took place at Pitt Lake! Right after their ceremony Anna and Abe, got their wedding photos in one of the most scenic places. With a gorgeous backdrop, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish the season.
Although I got to head to Okanagan, which I considered a destination wedding, my true destination wedding was going outside of Vancouver to San Francisco. I got to experience what it was like to travel, and mentally prepare for a destination wedding. Nestldown was easily one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve seen. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
As a Vancouver wedding photographer, I’m so grateful to all my couples in 2019! I’m looking forward to working with my couples in 2020 and will be continuing to constantly learn and grow.
